The Salmon Medical Center, a multi-specialty medical building in Silverdale designed by Morss Medical Architecture of Bainbridge Island, is now complete.
The three-story 56,000-squarefoot facility is at 2200 Myhre Road. The tenant will be The Doctors Clinic.
"We designed this building to be staff- and patient-friendly," said project
architect Jim Morss, whose firm specializes in medical facilities. "A
simple example is it must be easy for a patient to find parking, to find the
main entry and to find their way once inside the building. Another major
feature of this building is its special composite floor system designed to
eliminate vibration from passing traffic. This is especially important
during delicate medical procedures."
The building has a two-story glass atrium entry, specialty suites for
orthopedics, dermatology and ophthalmology, and an ambulatory surgery
center.
Construction cost was about $10 million.
The general contractor was Tim Ryan Construction. The structural
engineer was Putnam Collins Scott, the mechanical engineer was the Rice
Group of Lynwood and the civil engineer was MAPs of Silverdale.
